AstralPad launches new iPad app for multitasking on Office Documents

[prMac.com] Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - AstralPad, a mobile productivity startup, is launching its iPad app that lets business users create professional office documents, and discuss them with their colleagues in real-time. The new app combines a full-featured Office productivity suite with the ability to work on multiple documents simultaneously, and share rich content across documents. It also integrates its Office features with live screen-sharing and video calling, in the same app.

"Business users love the iPad, but are hamstrung by the lack of an integrated Office Collaboration App for the platform", said Rahul Singh, Co-Founder and CEO of AstralPad. "If a mobile professional wants to create a detailed financial model, or a marketing presentation, and then discuss them with a colleague, they have to use multiple apps, that still don't get the job done. AstralPad wants to lower the cost of productivity and collaboration software, just as tablets have lowered the cost of computing hardware. The company does not use third party Office software that require hefty licensing fees and is able to viably offer its core product for free.
