LIVERPOOL, England (AP) -Liverpool says it has reached an agreement to sign Morocco winger Oussama Assaidi from Dutch club SC Heerenveen.

Liverpool said on its website Thursday that the 24-year-old Assaidi just needs to pass a medical at its Melwood training ground to complete the deal.

Capped 22 times by Morocco since making his debut last year, Assaidi has scored 20 goals in 68 appearances for Heerenveen.

He would become new coach Brendan Rodgers' third pre-season signing after Swansea midfielder Joe Allen last week and Italy striker Fabio Borini, who joined last month from AS Roma.
