In the depths of space, 12 galaxies have come together to form a message that must surely excite everyone who gazes upon its majesty.

OK, we haven't been running a universe-bending ad campaign. The image above is courtesy of Galaxy Zoo, the online project which asks members of the public to classify pictures of galaxies.

The 250,000 users of the site, which launched in 2007, have sifted through more than a million images to create an entire alphabet of galaxies. Team member Steven Bamford of the University of Nottingham, UK, put them together into an online tool that lets anyone write their name in the stars. Time for some galactic graffiti.
