But still, I'm a bit paranoid because I have been reading contradictory things on the web, from seemingly credible sources. I actually do have HSV 1 because I've had cold sores before, but I read somewhere that you can still get it on your genitals, the symptoms are just more mild. Also, the girl did not touch my butt region at all, but I read somewhere and it said "it is not uncommon for oral sex to cause anal herpes." How can this be?
The symptoms I listed seem consistent with the disease: tingling in groin, genital itch, anal itch, fever, burning urination. I suppose it could have been in my head, but I don't know how to explain away the burning urination -- again, it didn't hurt and lasted a couple days. Could this have been in my head too?
I also had a swollen lymph node in my armpit (which I heard was a symptom), but I had a pimple right before in that same spot, maybe the pimple caused it. I also read somewhere that herpes doesn't have to show itself, and that it might just happen under the skin because (explaining the tingling) since it impacts your nervous system, but I also heard it has to show sores or blisters.
That tiny red mark that only lasted a couple of days bothers me still, again, since people said it could ONLY be red as a symptom, but it seemed like such a brief time and it didn't burn or itch.
Lastly, I was paranoid it was HSV 2 because the itch and sting all over my body, thinking it was possible since it effects your nerves. But I would be presupposing the girl had HSV 2 in her mouth.
